Keeping the tradition and legacy

Our Story

After more than two decades of quiet success in Thailandsince 2002, Lee Place Wanton Mee,

an award-winning Hong Kong-style noodle brand,

makes its highly anticipated debut in Singapore.

Opening its doors at 68 Smith Street on 8 June 2025, the stall marks a heartfelt homecoming for its founder — the indomitable Mdm Lee, now 67, whose journey has come full circle.

how it started

Mdm Lee’s journey began in her own kitchen in Bangkok, driven by a longing for the authentic wanton mee she loved growing up. Through word-of-mouth acclaim, her humble stall blossomed into a beloved local gem, eventually winning Thailand’s prestigious Shell Shuan Shim "Green Bowl" Award—

all without any advertising.

keeping the legacy

Today, Mdm Lee proudly returns to her Singapore roots, partnering with longtime friend Max Loh of Blanco Court Beef Noodles to expand Lee Place in Singapore.

Together, they’re committed to preserving and sharing the original flavours and heartfelt traditions of Lee Place.

We warmly invite both long-time fans and new guests to experience and celebrate a timeless heritage of taste.
